- **2026-02-03 – 2027-02-03** [Exhibition “Neamț Citadel in the press of its day (1890–1950)”](https://neamt.tesseramo.com/en/evenimente/expozitia-cetatea-neamt-in-presa-vremii-2026.md), Neamț Citadel Museum, Târgu Neamț. A photo-documentary exhibition opened on 3 February 2026, 631 years after the citadel's first documentary mention. Newspaper articles, illustrations and period photographs show how Romanian newspapers saw Neamț Citadel from the late 19th century to 1950. Curator: Dr. Ionuț-Dumitru Stigleț.
- **2026-05-23 – 2026-12-31** [Exhibition “The Dream of the First Polar Night – Belgica – the Antarctic Expedition, 1897–1899”](https://neamt.tesseramo.com/en/evenimente/expozitia-belgica-visul-primei-nopti-polare-2026.md), History and Archaeology Museum Piatra-Neamț, Piatra Neamț. A travelling exhibition on the first human wintering in Antarctica, aboard the Belgica (1897–1899), produced with the Grigore Antipa National Museum of Natural History. The objects include pieces that belonged to Emil Racoviță, the expedition's biologist.
- **2026-10-15** [Mihail Sadoveanu Days (Sadoveniana)](https://neamt.tesseramo.com/en/evenimente/zilele-mihail-sadoveanu-2026.md), Mihail Sadoveanu Social-Cultural Centre, Vânători-Neamț. Sadoveniana, the gathering in memory of Mihail Sadoveanu in the village where he spent his summers: book launches, an evening of stories at Hanul Ancuței and the Mihail Sadoveanu chess cup.
- **2026-11-08** [Patronal feast of Agapia Monastery](https://neamt.tesseramo.com/en/evenimente/hramul-manastirii-agapia-2026.md), Agapia Monastery Museum and Living Museum. Patronal feast of the princely church at Agapia din Vale, dedicated to the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel. The foundation of hatman Gavriil Coci (1641–1643), painted inside by a young Nicolae Grigorescu, welcomes pilgrims from all over Moldavia on this day.
- **2026-12-28** [“The Star Is Rising” winter customs festival](https://neamt.tesseramo.com/en/evenimente/festivalul-steaua-sus-rasare-2026.md), Ștefan cel Mare Square, Piatra Neamț. The winter customs festival, with carols, New Year wishes and masked processions from the villages of Neamț. The parade crosses the city centre and ends with a show in Ștefan cel Mare Square. The festival has run since 1969.
- **2027-05-10 – 2027-05-17** [Piatra-Neamț Theatre Festival](https://neamt.tesseramo.com/en/evenimente/festivalul-de-teatru-piatra-neamt-2027.md), Youth Theatre Piatra Neamț. The Youth Theatre festival, one of the oldest theatre festivals in Romania, with performances in the Main Hall in Piatra Neamț and on stages in Roman and Târgu Neamț.
- **2027-05-14 – 2027-05-21** [Roman City Days](https://neamt.tesseramo.com/en/evenimente/zilele-municipiului-roman-2027.md), Roman-Vodă Square. Roman's city festival: excellence galas, the Roman Mușat Cup, the Dan Alecsandrescu theatre festival and concerts in Roman-Vodă Square, running up to 21 May, the feast of Saints Constantine and Helen, the city's patrons.
- **2027-05-15** [Night of Museums](https://neamt.tesseramo.com/en/evenimente/noaptea-muzeelor-2027.md), Museums of the Neamț National Museum Complex, Piatra Neamț. European Night of Museums: the network's museums stay open past midnight, with free entry, workshops and guided tours.
- **2027-05-18** [International Museum Day](https://neamt.tesseramo.com/en/evenimente/ziua-internationala-a-muzeelor-2027.md), Museums of the Neamț National Museum Complex, Piatra Neamț. International Museum Day, celebrated worldwide on 18 May. The museums of Neamț mark it with special programmes, guided visits and activities for children.
- **2027-06-10** [Patronal feast of Neamț Monastery](https://neamt.tesseramo.com/en/evenimente/hramul-manastirii-neamt-2027.md), Neamț Monastery and Museum Collection, Vânători-Neamț. The patronal feast of Neamț Monastery, on the Ascension of the Lord, with a vigil the evening before and the Divine Liturgy. Pilgrims venerate the relics of Saint Paisius of Neamț and the wonder-working icon of the Mother of God.
- **2027-08-06** [Ceahlău Monastery Feast – Transfiguration Pilgrimage](https://neamt.tesseramo.com/en/evenimente/ziua-muntelui-ceahlau-2027.md), Ceahlău Monastery, at 1,800 m. The Transfiguration pilgrimage, the feast of Mount Ceahlău. Pilgrims climb from Durău and Stănile hermitage and arrive the evening before for the vigil; the liturgy is held at dawn at the monastery below Toaca peak.
- **2027-08-15** [Patronal feast of Văratec Monastery](https://neamt.tesseramo.com/en/evenimente/hramul-manastirii-varatec-2027.md), Văratec Monastery and Museum Collection. The patronal feast of Văratec Monastery, on the Dormition of the Mother of God. The following days commemorate Saint Joseph of Văratec and Saint George the Pilgrim, whose relics are kept at the monastery.
