Secu Monastery and Museum Collection
The Church of the Beheading of St John the Baptist was built in 1602–1605 by Nestor Ureche and his wife Mitrofana inside a fortified enclosure; the ensemble is a listed monument (NT-II-a-A-10735).
Its museum collection, called 'the great wonder of Secu' by Nicolae Iorga, shows medieval art, manuscripts, prints and liturgical objects.
