A monastery for monks founded in 1655 by Bishop Ghedeon of Roman, dedicated to the Nativity of the Mother of God (8 September). The ensemble – the Nativity church, the wooden Holy Archangels church, the Sts Joachim and Anne chapel and the 1825 bell tower – is a listed monument (NT-II-a-A-10736). Much of the monastery burned in 1922. It is known as the home of Father Cleopa Ilie.
