The archaeological site on Bâtca Doamnei Hill, a category-A historic monument (NT-I-s-A-10480), preserves the remains of a fortified Dacian settlement. Some historians identify the Piatra Neamț area with the Dacian fortress of Petrodava, a name used by the CMNN's scientific symposium. Finds from the site are displayed at the Piatra Neamț History and Archaeology Museum and the Bicaz History Museum.
