In the Musical Season: A Tribute to Adrian Stroici
The 2023-2024 musical season, a joint project of the “Carmen Saeculare” Centre for Culture and Arts Neamț and the “Gheorghe Dima” National Academy of Music in Cluj-Napoca, Piatra-Neamț Branch, continues with a tribute to composer Adrian Stroici, a well-known and respected teacher at the “Victor Brauner” Art High School in Piatra-Neamț.
While the distinguished teaching career of this respected teacher from Piatra-Neamț is known in the town and beyond, through this musical event the organisers also aim, with the help of violinist Sara Stroici, to highlight Adrian Stroici’s work as a composer.
As guests of the protagonist, the stage will feature Lucreția Stroici (flute), sopranos Alexandra Costin, Olguța Toma, Narcisa Pavel, Cristina Ilie and mezzo-soprano Mihaela Chelaru.
The concert programme will include three world premieres: Concert pentru vioară și pian, Sonata pentru vioară și pian, the art song “Drum în lumină” for soprano, violin and piano, set to verses by Lucian Blaga, and other musical works by the composer Adrian Stroici.
This genuine celebration of musical art will take place on Wednesday, 28 February 2024, at 18:00, in the “Calistrat Hogaș” hall of the Neamț County Council.
Entry is granted on the basis of the ticket (30 lei/seat) which can be obtained from the Secretariat of the “Carmen Saeculare” Centre for Culture and Arts Neamț, Ștefan cel Mare Street, no. 3A, telephone: 0233.214.026.
