The entire Neamt County area hosts numerous religious settlements that pilgrims know little about their beginnings. Here some of these places:
Neamt Monateryis considered to be the oldest religious settlement in Moldova region. Early documents talk about monks in this place since the XII century.
Horaicioara Monasterywas built in XVII century because of some monks from these parts that decided to go and live deep in the mountains of Horaiciorul. Here they built a church with the patron of “Good News”.
Almas Monasterywas built in XVII century on Almas Valley, a valley located at just few km from Horaicioara Monastery. The church was built by a man from Ardeal region, by his name Almas.
