Back to the collection

Bicajelul de Jos villageis part of Bicaz Chei commune, Neamt County and is a traditional mountain settlement with a great touristic potential because of thetraditional Romanian architectural elements, because of the customs and crafts present in these parts. Here tourists can admire houses that are over 100 years old, houses that illustrate the way people from this place lived.

Although the area is pretty remote and a little bit harder to access, Bicajelul de Jos village offers traditional architecture well preserved and remarkable from an ethnographic stand of point. This village is unique in its own way and is also one of the few of this kind from Romania that still have that scent of old times.

These houses are living proof of values from our past especially because the techniques used to construct these houses are still practiced in this area.
