3D Film Roadshow in Piatra Neamț

During 23–29 May 2011, the “Caravana Filmelor 3D” project will come to Dacia Panoramic cinema in Piatra Neamț. Launched by RomâniaFilm, the event is a surprise for film lovers in Sibiu, Deva, Alba-Iulia, Bistrița, Piatra Neamț and Botoșani, who will have the chance to see four successful 3D films from recent years.

The equipment needed to screen these 3D films will be brought from București. As films in this format have never been screened in Piatra Neamț before, the event will be a first for the town. The aim of this roadshow is to test the film market in România.

If the event is well received by the public and we rank among the top locations for audience numbers, we will have a chance to see the Dacia Panoramic cinema in Piatra Neamț converted into a 3D cinema by the end of the year. The organisers therefore invite as many local residents as possible to take part in this project and help create the town's first 3D cinema.

In Piatra Neamț, only 100 seats will be available for each screening, limited by the number of 3D glasses the event organisers have. Admission to a film costs 15 lei. The selected films will each be screened 3 or 6 times over the 7 days.
