The Magic of the Winter Festivities in Piatra Neamț

On Sunday, 5 December 2010, the winter festivities will officially begin in Piatra Neamț. The whole town will enter into the festive spirit, and the multicoloured garlands along the streets will fill the air with Christmas magic. Every year, Piatra Neamț prepares to welcome Christmas with joy, and the special, cheerful atmosphere transforms this small mountain town into a fairy tale.

As in previous years, the local authority has worked to decorate the town so that it lives up to its status as a tourist destination and attracts visitors.

Numerous new decorations have been purchased this year which, alongside last year’s illuminated garlands, will create the charming atmosphere of the winter festivities. The three-dimensional Christmas decorations will also be impressive, with small Christmas trees and 3D figures making their debut this winter.

The park in Stefan cel Mare Square will become a magical world of imaginatively decorated trees, delighting children who will find cartoon characters here, as well as the tireless Father Christmas with his sack full of presents. The town centre will be decorated with new strings of lights, sparkling chandeliers, huge ice stars with and without bows, and three-dimensional Christmas trees made entirely of LEDs.

In Stefan cel Mare Square, numerous ice balls will join the illuminated garlands, while the side streets will feature firework decorations that seem to cascade into the street.
