
“PETRODAVA” National Symposium
During 26–28 June 2024, Neamț National Museum Complex is organising the 5th edition of the national cultural and scientific event with international participation – the “PETRODAVA” National Symposium.
The event will take place in Piatra Neamț, at the Art Museum and the “Gheorghe Dumitroaia” Cucuteni Eneolithic Art Museum.
The symposium's 100 papers cover a wide range of topics and will be presented in several sections corresponding to the organising institution's fields of activity: natural sciences (geology and biology), archaeology, restoration and conservation, art and memorial studies.
The event will bring together 170 specialists from prestigious museums, universities and academic institutions in Romania, the Republic of Moldova, Germany, Norway, Hungary and the Netherlands.
The event will feature the launch of the latest issue of the yearbook “Memoria Antiquitatis”, the volume “The Bronze Age in Eastern Europe. Multidisciplinary approaches” (edited by Vasile Diaconu and Alexandru Gafincu), and the monograph “Comunități preistorice, antice și medievale de pe cursul mijlociu al Siretului. Așezările de la Filipești și Aldești. Cercetările arheologice din anii 1960-1962” (by Vasile Ursachi, George-Dan Hânceanu, Vasile Diaconu and Andrei Baltag).
During the symposium, guests will also have the opportunity to visit the permanent and temporary exhibitions at the museums of Neamț National Museum Complex.
