With fifty years of history behind it – and what a history! – the Vacanțele Muzicale la Piatra-Neamț International Festival has become a hallmark of the Neamț region.

The second chamber recital of this year’s edition is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, 5 July 2023, when cellist Anton Niculescu and pianist Viniciu Moroianu will perform as soloists at the “Calistrat Hogaș” hall (Neamț County Council), starting at 18:00.

Performances, medieval battles and armored combat demonstrations, medieval costumes parade, traditional delicacies, workshops and games for kids, treasure hunts, fire juggling, middle ages interactive history lessons, and much more.

The third evening of Vacanțe Muzicale will open on Tuesday, 4 July 2023, in the “Calistrat Hogaș” hall of Neamț County Council, with an opening chamber recital featuring soloists Mihaela Spiridon (piano),. Ioana Mardare (viola) and Laurențiu Busnea (cello).




The Nativity of Saint John the Baptist – Sânzienele – the patronal feast of the princely cathedral and the city’s patron saint. The weekend brings several important events to Piatra Neamț.

The second evening of Musical Holidays in 2023 will bring two Bessarabian musical groups – “Lupii lui Calancea” and “Surorile Osoianu” – to the centuries-old tower of the great voivode Ștefan.


As part of this year’s Popular School of Arts Days, an exhibition of painting and graphic art marking the end of the 2022-2023 academic year will open on Wednesday, 21 June 2023, at 14:00, at G.T.
