Autumn is a wonderful season, and fine weather draws you out into nature to admire landscapes painted in russet colours.

It’s late November and autumn is soon to be forgotten. The tree branches lose the beautifully colored leaves in favor of the ground.



Several monastic settlements have been established over time in the Secu stream valley, drawing thousands of worshippers on pilgrimage each year.

The trail starts in Crăcăoani and passes through the villages of Magazia and Cracăul Negru. Access to them is from DN 15 C, along a route through remarkable places where time seems to have stood still.

Pangarati commune is located in the central west side of Neamt County. The origins of this place is lost in time but is well connected to Pangarati Monastery, a religious settlement built by ruler Alexandru Lapusneanu.

Craftsman Vasile Găman was born in 1936 in the village of Lunca, in Vânători-Neamț commune, where he still lives.




Within the commune of Pângărați, on the left bank of the stream of the same name, the “Yew Reserve” extends over an area of 1.5 ha and is one of three such reserves in the country.
